The Pursuit of Happyness

Managed to watch this show recently.
Really touched me in a way that no such other mellow drama movie ever had.
His pain as a father was so heart wrenching that I actually felt his pain even though it was only a movie.

My favorite line from the movie was:

"Don't ever let somebody tell you you can't do something...
You got a dream, you gotta protect it...
If you want something, go get it. Period."

Will Smith playing Chris Gardner says this in "The Pursuit of Happyness".

For those who haven't caught it. Watch out for the Black man at the end of the movie where Will Smith takes a look at. Its the real Chris Gardner who plays a cameo appearance.

I'm definitely getting the DVD or Blu-Ray for this movie.

1 little thing was the grey jacket that he was wearing in several scenes...

Hmm... Doesn't that look very familiar...
Coz it's the same jacket that I got! Lol...

Enjoy the show....

Car caught fire at the carpark near my work place!

Today, my day started with the strangest event that took place at the carpark at my workplace... My colleague called the Fire Brigade, and I called and MMS Straits Times. Here's a Pic.

Went back for a second look before lunch. Now it's totally charred and wrecked... I wonder if that's a BMW.... sigh.... I feel so Singaporean (KPO). LOL!

Nothing worth noticing

Well, it's been quite a while. Here I am once again, trying to update my blog.

The past weekend has been very interesting and intriguing. Too many things to list out. Heh...

Fixed my Blades and went out this morning to blade at ECP only to find out that I snapped my right buckle this time round. Sigh... Got to send in my right blade to replace the broken buckle now... sob.

Well, I supppose God was kind enough to bless me with something else in return for my unfortunate incident. I randomly called in to Class 95 in the morning after I got into the studio and I won a pair of GALA MOVIE TICKETS FOR "TMNT"! (TMNT = Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) Brings back childhood memories for some of us huh. Next upcoming one would be the much awaited "Transformers" movie!

Gonna be a busy week for me. Lots of events to attend after work everyday. Places to go, things to do , to play and not to forget, a little bit of self indulgence.

Congrats A & A!!!

Thanks for inviting me to your wedding dinner! So happy for you two. The only thing missing here is a proper picture of you two. Lol... There's a group photo of us, but without the Two of you in it. Hoping to get it soon so that I can update it into this blog. Btw, I got a comment that I looked like a HongKong student in my clothes. Heh...

Thinking hard..

Things you do when you're bored after lunch... sigh...

Just some Daily Entry

Quite relieved to hear from Dr Julian that I can finally rub my eyes and go swimming without goggles. After 2 months of self control, refraining myself from rubbing my eyes when I'm tired or when I just wake up. It's quite torturous, you know?

Fate has been kind to me, but life still ain't no sunshine. Been doing things to change myself, but I feel it's only external.

Like going for Lasik to get rid of my specs. Some say I look better without them, but mostly agree that they've grown used to seeing me in different specs on different occasions. It's already an accessory that I have on daily.

Gone on a 11 day holiday trip to Hongkong. Went to visit relatives, meet up with some that I've never even seen before. Loiter and mixed around with the locals. Feeling the different culture there was good. Almost didn't wanted to come back, if it's not for those things that I cannot let go off back home.

Haven't coloured my hair in a year. Can you believe it? Friends have been asking me why I haven't been colouring my hair for so long, some thought why I've coloured my hair black on purpose. Well, I guess I've not been in the mood to colour my hair anymore. Just leaving it black, black like my soul?

Maybe if I can put it in words. Perhaps I'd say that the world I'm living in is currently black & white, moving in a slow motion.

It's pretty tough to be a ebullient, jaunty, exuberant person everyday when you go out when it's the exact opposite of how you're feeling.

A day of fun with no sun at the beach

Went to the beach last Sunday. Had a little sunshine but nothing enough to get me tanned. Nothing much to post except that I enjoyed the company, had a little sunshine but was unable to swim due to my eyes.

Pardon the position I was in for that photo. Not trying to be a Ah Beng, just trying to imitate this character in this Japanese Anime and Manga that I've been following very very very closely.

All in all a great day, but didn't achieve a tan...

Blythe

Recently pick up my PSP and started playing DJ MAX again.
This Korean game really rocks!
I just love this song in that game. It's really tough, friends who seen me play or attempted it will vouch for me. It's insane esp in the 8 buttons mode. Gonna get the DJ MAX PORTABLE 2 when it launches soon!
Listen and watch the video.
ENJOYS!

My Broken Wings

Someone once mentioned that I looked like I had wings on my feet, gliding on waters gracefully when I have my blades on.

Now those Wings are crippled, broken... just like my spirit.

I recently broke the left buckle!!! So sad that I can't grab my Roces and just go blading as and when I feel like it. Got to go get it fixed. Hope the buckle can be replaced. If not I got to get a power-strap to strap it down or get a new pair of blades. Hopefully a pair of inline fitness skates. Want to train for distance. No more crazy stair riding or insane grinding on stair handles. Too old and rigid to do that anymore. Maybe can put those good old grind plates to rest.

My Poor poor Roces...

Dubstars

Anyone heard of this song called "Stars" by the group "Dubstars"?
I really loved the song since a very long long long time ago. Gives me that dreamy feel, bringing back so many memories...
And recently I managed to chance upon that album "Disgraceful" at a 2nd hand cd shop.
So happy! So sorry for the blurred image...

Urban Legends

Really hate the tissue paper booking system here at Amoy Food Center.
All kinds of stuff can be used to use to "book" the seats.
Umbrellas for 1 table.
1 Pack of tissue paper for a seat.
Company pass holders for a seat.
Anything and everything...
Now... not only to make matters worse...
This has appeared... OMFG!

HongKong Trip December 2006

Hi peepz!
Been a while since I've blog (what's new).
Anyways, I've just got back from a 11 day trip from HongKong. It was fantastic and I miss it so much already, didn't want to come home at all. Miss the cold weather, the mango pudding dessert which I try my utmost to have after every meal. I swear that it's so fantastic that I'd do anything to eat it soon again! Did some shopping there, went Disneyland, visited some relatives and basically loitered the streets of HongKong blending into the locals there.
Communication was easy, I was mistaken as the HongKong locals. I only gave myself away when I order food. I can't read CHINESE PROPERLY FOR NUTS! Too much to say here already. I'll just let you guys view my photos.

Check out my photos from my HongKong Trip by clicking on the Title of this post.

My Suvival At The Mediacorp Subaru WRX Challenge

Haven't been updating my blog in a while. No time, No mood, No nothing at all... Things have been happening but I'm just too got damn tired to blog it down.
So here I am once again with my previous big event. The Subaru Challenge.
I'd would say looking at people standing there seems easy enough, but when I was there at the hot spot with my hand attached to the car. It seemed almost like an eternity.
I only manage to last 10hrs 26mins before I remove my numbed hand from the car to get a drink. I WAS DYING OF THIRST!
Felt like I was back on the Brunei Mountains during my army training where we were running low on water and had to ration whatever that's left.
Well, there's always next year!

Gloria Estefan - Words Get in the Way

Something to listen to...

NOBODY KNOWS By: The Tony Rich Project

*Something to get to know me better by*

NOBODY KNOWS
By: The Tony Rich Project

I pretended I'm glad you went away
These four walls closin' more every day
And I'm dying inside
And nobody knows it but me
Like a clown I put on a show
The pain is real even if nobody knows
And I'm crying inside
And nobody knows it but me

Why didn't I say
The things I needed to say
How could I let my angel get away
Now my world is just a tumblin' down
I can say it so clearly
But you're nowhere around

The nights are lonely, the days are so sad
And I just keep thinkin' about
The love that we had
And I'm missin' you
And nobody knows it but me

I carry a smile when I'm broken in two
And I'm nobody without someone like you
I'm tremblin' inside and nobody knows it but me
I lie awake it's a quarter past three
I'm screamin' at night as if I thought
You'd hear me
Yeah my heart is callin' you
And nobody knows it but me

How blue can I get
You could ask my heart
But like a jigsaw puzzle it's been torn all apart
A million words couldn't say just how I feel
A million years from now you know
I'll be lovin' you still

The nights are lonely, the days are so sad
And I just keep thinkin' about
The love that we had
And I'm missin' you
And nobody knows it but me

Tomorrow mornin' I'm hitting the dusty road
Gonna find you wherever, ever you might go
I'm gonna unload my heart and hope you come back to me
Said when the nights are lonely...

The nights are lonely, the days are so sad
And I just keep thinkin' about
The love that we had
And I'm missin' you
And nobody knows it but me

Groove Armada @ ZOUK

Didn't really have time to blog recently. Been too caught in between trying to prepare my portfolio, hanging out , gaming on my 360. Will try to update as often. But for now... I'd really like to say that last Friday's (150906) Groove Armada at ZOUK was excellent! Met lots of friends there as well. Didn't get drunk too, maybe my 5/10 skills improved more after numerous rounds of losing and drinking. That I might have to thank DAWN Tan for it. Eugene was a goner after god knows how many rounds of intoxicating alcohol. Was trying to keep a look out for him when he was dancing like a maniac next to the stairs. Even his friends were keeping a lookout. Somehow, things just didn't feel right or the same. But anyways, got to get back to work. Was taking a break to sneak in this lil' update.

Snafu

Over the weekend, there was this pang of rejection that washed over me again for the fourth time.
Don't ask me why, when or how. I won't be telling anyone anything.
The bubbles that I've been creating around me seems to be bursting one by one.
Things seems to be getting more and more further away with each step I take forward to grasp tightly of the current situation.
The reasons for achieving my goal seems to be getting more ambiguous.
But I know that I will strive harder at my next attempt.
We have to make our own mistakes, we have to learn our own lessons.
We have to sweep today's possibilities under tommorrow's rug until we can't anymore, until we finally understand ourselves.
That knowing is better then wondering, that waking is better then sleeping.
And even the biggest failure, even the worse most intractable mistake beats the hell out of never trying.
