Lomo LC-A Instant Back+!

How do I make my LC-A's back door interchangeable with the LC-A Instant Back+?

The Lomo LC-A’s original back door and the LC-A Instant Back+ can be replaced within seconds. But why do we have to ready the LC-A to have its back door interchangeable, you ask? Well it’s just a one time minor adjustment that you have to do that will allow you to easily switch the original back door and Instant Back… FOREVER! That’s an infinite number of switching from 35mm film and Instant film!

To make your LC-A’s back door ready for quick interchanging, you’ll just have to go through the following steps:

Take the Lomo LC-A’s back door and use the pliers to remove the metal pin that holds the door joint.
Remove the door joint.
Re-insert the metal pin.
Now your camera’s back door can be easily attached to the Lomo LC-A and is fully interchangeable with the Lomo LC-A Instant Back+!
After this, you will have to Install the LC-A Instant Back+ to your LC-A camera.

How do I install the LC-A Instant Back+ to my LC-A?

Making your Lomo LC-A back door interchangeable was easy and it will allow you to easily switch the original back door and Instant Back at any time. Now you are ready to attach the LC-A Instant Back+ onto your Lomo LC-A for endless instant gratification!

The Lomo LC-A Instant Back+ works with both the Lomo LC-A and the Lomo LC-A+. First you need to prepare your camera for its new instant clothes. For installing the LC-A Instant Back+, here are the steps:

Take a pair of tweezers and peel off the leather on your Lomo LC-A at its right side. Peel it off until you see the 4 screws fixing the back door.
Unscrew the 4 screws using the enclosed screwdriver.
Take off the Lomo LC-A’s original back door.
Now take the enclosed hinge and screw it on the camera with the enclosed 4 screws.
Glue back the leather.
Attach the Instant Back to the Lomo LC-A. Start with the right side and click the Instant Back into place.
With the Lomo LC-A’s back open, insert the correction lens in the chamber right on top of the camera’s real lens. The long ear of the correction lens needs to be on the right side. Close the back and the correction lens will be fixed.
Screw the metal stand into the camera’s tripod screw mount.
Slide the cold shoe adapter into the Lomo LC-A’s hot shoe and attach the viewfinder.

How do I load the film cartridge and take photos with the LC-A Instant Back+?

Now with the LC-A’s back door made interchangeable for the LC-A Instant Back+ as well as LC-A Instant Back+ installed in place along with the correction lens properly fixed you are only seconds away from your first shot and endless instant gratification! So here are steps on how to load the Fujifilm Instax Mini film cartridge and take photos with the LC-A Instant Back+:

Insert two CR2 batteries (2×3V) into the Instant Back’s battery compartment.
Turn on the Lomo LC-A Instant Back+ by switching the on/off switch to ON.
Insert a new Fujifilm Instax Mini film.
Press the film ejection button once to eject the protection dark slide inside the film pack.
Set the ASA dial of your Lomo LC-A to ASA 200. This is the standard setting for using the Lomo LC-A Instant Back+. To make your image brighter or darker you can adjust the ASA settings to a higher or lower level.
Cock the camera’s shutter by pulling the MX-switch at the bottom of the Lomo LC-A+. If you are using a Lomo LC-A you need to – just like shooting normally – manually wind on the film advance spool for each shot. This can be a bit tricky as parts of the Instant Back+ covers the spool. But with a little practice it’s an enjoyable exercise.
Set the focus (according to the Instant Back’s Distance Chart) and shoot.
Press the film ejection button, grab the picture and wait until the picture is fully exposed. Congratulations to your first Lomo LC-A instant photograph!

i have made the back interchangeable and installed the instant back..now i want to switch to original back to use 35mm film..how do i do it?
